Thanks for the understanding most of you have had for the loss of my partner. The situation was unexpected and has not been easy, but I am better. I have been very busy since, with the aftermath and work, so I really haven't had the time or desire to post here. But I do check occasionally and will try to update requested links when I get a chance. No idea when or if I'll get to new posts, but you never know. He did support this blog, so maybe I'll get back to it. Thanks for your patience.

If you wish to download an album off of this blog and the link is dead, please request it either in the comments or the Chat Box and I will reupload it as soon as possible. :)

And don't forget to follow the Isle on Facebook and Twitter!

JLM - Come Into My Life (1995)

JLM (short for Just Love Music) first appeared on the scene as a trio, consisting of twin producers and musicians Jean and Clode Perruno, and vocalist Shantal Maure. They came from Montreal and their first single, the downbeat "Don't U Want My Love", had little success on the charts. Then they released the single "Come Into My Life" and the song blew up on the Canadian and European dance charts. The whole album follows the eurohouse formula that was huge at the time. Many Canadian acts were having hits with eurohouse music and JLM seemed to get lost in the fray. No other hits emerged from the album and Shantal left the group. I thought that was the end of them. So I was surprised to learn, when researching for this post, that the Perruno brothers have a website and still record as JLM, with a new frontwoman, Ariel. The sound is now more trance and progressive house, and we can expect another dance hit or two from the duo, I'm sure.
